Climate Denial Video #5: Settled science and impossible expectations

In this fifth video collaboration with Treehugger, we look at another approach of those looking to deny a scientific consensus - the raising of false expectations. The tobacco industry pioneered this strategy, attempting to delay restrictions on cigarette smoking until the science was more "settled". The same "science is not settled" argument is commonly heard today from climate deniers.

This video features one of my faves, the human fingerprints infographic (recently featured on Climate Progress). Some people still seem unaware of all the evidence that CO2 causes warming so it doesn't hurt to have a handy, visual reminder.
