  1. Regarding articles like 'Warming could boost carbon storage in Alaska's Forests': I expect, long term, the carbon equation in Northern Forests and permafrost areas would favor their being a net source.  Entering an interglacial, when Earth tilts to cast more sunlight on the Northern Hemisphere, we know that global carbon dioxide levels increase after a few centuries.  I expect much of this is coming from newly warmed Northern latitudes, like Alaska.
