How Skeptical Science measures skeptic argument frequency

I'm often asked how Skeptical Science calculates which skeptic arguments are used the most. The process is simple. Whenever I read an online skeptic article, I save it to a database, recording which arguments they use. The Skeptic Arguments page merely counts the total number of each argument and displays them in order of most used. The most recent articles indexed are listed on the Articles Page.

Originally, I was much more prolific, actively seeking out any and every skeptic article I could find to build the database up quickly. Lately, I've been more picky with which articles I add, skipping over blog posts that merely copy and paste content from other webpages (I will index the original source though). The database is by no means comprehensive.
