Irregular Climate podcast: episode 7

Posted on 11 July 2010 by John Cook

The good news is the Irregular Climate podcast have posted Episode 7. This week: An assessment of the assessment, The exoneration of Mann, The final nail in the climategate coffin, bad reporting, dishonesty and hate, and the skeptic debunk of the week! The bad news: Graham Wayne is unable to continue cohosting so Dan Moutal is once again flying solo.

If anyone is interested in producing a segment for the podcast, whether it be a one-off or a regular series, please get in contact with Dan via his website. I'd recommend the experience - I'm learning a lot just from the effort of trying to boil down scientific arguments into a few paragraphs that you can speak out aloud in a natural way. I also bought a Snowball microphone this week which has dramatically improved the sound quality of my recordings (and I don't care what Wendy says, I love the retro look).

Comments 1 to 1:

  1. It's too bad Graham can't do the podcast anymore. I like the more natural flow of conversation that results from having a co-host. Still, this was an interesting episode. I'm reading the IPCC Assessment Assessment report now. As a Dutchie, I felt a bit queezy when one of our government officials played right into the hype. But I guess it was the appropriate political move to make, and some good has come out of it; It's good to see that, even though they provide some constructive criticisms, the conclusions are soundly reaffirmed.
