Portuguese translation of The Scientific Guide to Global Warming Skepticism
Posted on 12 February 2011 by John Cook
The Scientific Guide to Global Warming Skepticism has been translated into Portuguese. Many thanks to Alexandre Lacerda for the translation.
If anyone is interested in translating the Guide into another language, there are two documents to help you: a two-column Word document with all the English text in one column and a blank column to place the translated text, plus a PDF Overview of the Guide to clearly mark each section for translators.
Please download the Word document and email me back the document with translated text. I'll then insert the translated text into the existing design. But best first to contact me to ensure noone else is already working on your language (versions in French, German, Slovene and Swedish are currently in the works).
Note - while Alexandre was working on this, he brought my attention to the fact that I'd never uploaded the Portuguese translation of A Scientific Guide to the Skeptics Handbook. A big oversight on my part and deepest apologies to Jose Sousa who had done all the hard work in translating the document. Somehow it had slipped through the cracks for which I'm very apologetic! :-( Anyway, you can now get the Portuguese translation. And I've made it easy to get hold of all the 9 different translations by listing them on the blog post where I first introduced A Scientific Guide to the Skeptics Handbook. This document is like the prequel to the Scientific Guide to Global Warming Skepticism which is a more thorough treatment of the subject (with cooler graphics).
